Go Get Your Smock! provides a customized art education program for the regular school day. We can address specific needs like:

* mural projects
* costumes and scenery for performance projects
* artist-specific studies which focus on artists and their times
* drawing skills intensive studies

Programs can run anywhere from 6 to 30 weeks, depending on the needs of your school community.

We can create a program that addresses

In keeping with their mission to educate the whole child, Decatur Classical School has included Go Get Your Smock! as a critical part of their whole-school curriculum.

The Decatur Classical School Art Program for 2010-2011

Kindergarten: The GGYS Early Childhood Program

Grades 1 -3: Learning to Draw, Drawing to Learn

Grade 4: Learning to Draw, Drawing to Learn and a special unit on portraits

Grades 5 - 6: Drawing for Older Children, with special focus on 3-D drawing skills

Grade 6: The 2010-2011 program will include a mural project for 6th grade students, who will create a neighborhood/cityscape mural using all the drawing techniques they have developed in their years of art study.
